The first Federal Skill Academy was started in 2015 at Kochi based on the acceptance and the success story of creating a meaningful impact on society the operation of the academy was expanded to Coimbatore, Kolhapur, Faridabad, Chennai, Belagavi and Vijayawada. This initiative is the Contribution of the Federal Bank to the National initiative of making India as the skill capital of the world. The academy in its journey has made an impact on the lives of 6800+ youth/women by making them employable through skilling. The academy offers a skill program in different sectors. These skill programs are designed as per the industry demand and Youth aspirations. The academy has also contributed to women’s empowerment by skilling women in self-employment-oriented skilling programs.
CPR Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) — a lifesaving technique that is useful at times when someone’s breathing or heartbeat has stopped is known only to less than 2 percent of India’s population. Four out of 10 sudden cardiac arrest victims survive if CPR support is provided while waiting for emergency services to arrive. This program is designed as a preventive measure to skill youth in CPR/AED and Choking. The awareness of such skills is minimal among the youth.

For Federal Bank, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has been an inherent and inbuilt element of its culture from the day the bank was founded. Federal Bank designed COVID WARDEN Trainee a dedicated programme for COVID 19 with dual benefit of providing temporary job opportunities for those who lost their job due to COVID 19 as well to manage crowds, gauge the temperature, issue masks and sanitiser to the public visiting Banks and public institutes.

Skilled 30 youth in Plumbing Technology from fishermen community at Vizhinjam.
Win with English:
A total of 305 students from 3 schools – Girls High School, Venganoor, VPHSS for Boys, Venganoor, St. Mary’s School, Kottapuram opted for an English language enhancement programme designed to improve the students’ ability to use English and develop critical thinking skills in a holistic manner.
The programme was designed with a view to enable students become aware of themselves – their strengths and weaknesses and to help them navigate the future using a moral compass. The programme helped them develop Social Skills, Principles and value systems to act as a moral compass, Awareness of various course and career options, Realistic Goals, Knowledge of Self.
125 students were trained and assessed.
Vocational Skilling Programme:
161 women were skilled in Sewing Machine Operation and Mobile Handset Repair skilling programmes from 14 villages in Thrissur district to contribute to inclusive economic growth.
Sustainable Agricultural Practices:
150 farmers from 14 villages of Thrissur district were upskilled in Sustainable Agricultural Practices. Kerala Agricultural University is the knowledge partner of this programme.
Road Safety Awareness Programme:
The Road Safety Awareness Programme covered 1500 individuals in 14 villages in Thrissur.

‘Envisioned Youth for Envisaged Society’ (Project EYES) was the brainchild of the then Hon. Member of Parliament for Idukki, and was aimed at empowering the schoolchildren of the Idukki parliamentary constituency area and to help prepare them choose the right course of study. The programme also helped them become aware of themselves – their strengths and weaknesses and to help them navigate the future using a moral compass. The programme aimed at helping them develop a VISION – Value systems to act as a moral compass, Inspiration needed to think ahead, Self Esteem, Interpersonal skills to succeed in life, Opportunities for personal development, Networking – building contacts for the future.
